2017 will probably go down in the history of Tamil Nadu as a year of the uprising of the common man against the system which had kept him confined by invisible shackles for close to seventy years. The Jallikattu protest proved to the world that the unity of the people is even above the laws.

These inspiring times have also woken up the men with charisma to act for the society that gave them their pedestals. First, it was Superstar Rajinikanth who has made concrete strides towards entering politics to change the system. On the other hand the Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan started showing his dissent towards the functioning of the establishment, but the undue scathing reactions of the politicians probably egged him on to take the plunge into active politics.

Kamal and Rajini share both friendship and rivalry that dates back to the better part of four decades and now that destiny has pushed both of them into public life a meeting between the two is imminent. This week the shooting of Rajini's 'Kaala' directed by Pa Ranjith begins at the EVP Studios on the outskirts of Chennai. The Bigg Boss house location is also in the same studio and Kamal shoots there twice a week. So it can be a foregone conclusion that the longtime friends will indeed meet soon eventually and this time their agenda is going to be nothing else but politics.
