His long time friend and professional rival Kamal Haasan has upped the ante against the State and Central Government's for failing to constitute the Cauvery Management Board which has caused a series of protests across Tamil Nadu. Superstar Rajinikanth who has also announced his political entry has not spoken anything about this apart from posting a tweet urging the Governments to constitute the board at the earliest. 

Now the latest rumors doing rounds is that Rajinikanth will be observing a day long fast for Cauvrey water. This is not new to the Superstar. Back in 2002, he sat for a day long fasting protest in Chennai for Cauvery issue and also for the linking of all National rivers. 

The date of Rajinikanth's protest is not yet decided. Meanwhile, it is being widely speculated that he will also take part in the peaceful protest organised by the Nadigar Sangam for the same cause.
