The Nadigar Sangam will be conducting a Star cricket tournament on April 17, 2016 in Chepauk Cricket Stadium in Chennai. Top league stars including Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are expected to participate in this grand event conducted to raise funds for the construction of new building for the Sangam. The telecast rights of the cricket torunament has been already sold to a prominent Tamil satellite channel for a whopping prize

Cricket tournament is just one of the avenues that the Sangam is exploring to raise funds for this cause that will benefit all the members of the Sangam. The long time plan of making a film with General Secretary Vishal and Treasurer Karthi, two of today's top league heroes in the lead roles is on cards.

In the Annual General Body Meeting of the Sangam, held on Sunday, the plan to create and stage a Tamil play with prominent stars as cast members was also revealed. Sources reveal that Superstar Rajinikanth has been approached to act in the play and the veteran has actually given a positive signal.
