Superstar Rajinikanth turned 71 on Sunday. The entire Indian film fraternity, political personalities and fans showered love on the actor with wishes. Rajinikanth had enjoyed the day with special birthday cakes and had a lovely time with his family members.

Thalaivar Rajinikanth posted an important statement on his Twitter page this morning. He has thanked the celebrities, politicians, press people and the Tamil audience for wishing him on the special day. A rough translation of his words from Tamil to English is:
