Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 171' to go on the floors in this place and date? - Deets

While Superstar Rajinikanth is shooting for 'Vettaiyan', directed by TJ Gnanavel, the actor will be next seen in 'Lal Salaam, which releases on February 9th. The production works for 'Vettaiyan' are said to be concluded next month with Thalaivar's next project commencing in April.

Rajinikanth is joining forces with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for his 171st film, produced by Sun Pictures. As per the latest updates, the shooting of this movie will commence in a foreign land in the coming April. It will be an action flick yet a different script with Thalaivar playing a never-seen-before role. The script work and story discussion are going on now.

'Thalaivar 171' will be a mega-budgeted biggie, which is set to be shot with an IMAX camera. The makers are planning to release the film in standard and 3D formats reportedly.
