Superstar Rajinikanth is busy shooting for his new movie 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film that also has Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Vasanth Ravi among others is expected to release in early 2023.

We already reported to you that Rajini has okayed his next project after 'Jailer' which is tentatively titled 'Thalaivar 170. The out and out commercial entertainer will be directed by Cibi Chakravarthi of 'Don' fame and produced by Lyca Productions.

Now the hot news is that Rajinikanth has also confirmed his 170th film which will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy of 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal' fame and bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu. This will be his second film with Thanu after the blockbuster hit 'Kabali' directed by Pa Ranjith.

The fact that India's biggest superstar is going to work back to back with young directors who are each just one film old has caused a huge sensation in Kollywood. Stay tuned for official updates on both these exciting projects.
