Director TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame is currently directing Superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming project, 'Thalaivar 170'. The prestigious flick bankrolled by Lyca Productions marks the reunion of Thalaivar and Amitabh Bachchan after 33 years.

A few schedules of shooting were completed in Kerala, Thoothukudi and Mumbai earlier. Now, the latest reports suggest that the makers are filming in Prasad Labs, Chennai and this current schedule will go on till November end. The talkie portions are being shot in a commissioner office setup. Rajinikanth, Fahad Faasil and Ritika Singh are part of this schedule.

We hear that the film is against fake encounters with Superstar Rajinikanth as a police officer. Amitabh Bachchan's character will also be protesting against the same. With music by Anirudh, the star cast comprises Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahad Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and others.
