Tentatively called 'Thalaivar 170', the movie is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and will have music scored by Lyca Productions. Now, the hot news is the producers have planned a muhurat puja and grand launch event on August 26th at the Leela Palace, Chennai.

The regular shooting will be kickstarted on September 19th. Thalaivar is said to be playing a retired cop in this intense movie. Reportedly, the star cast comprises renowned actors Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Sharwanand and others. There are speculations that the film is titled 'Vettaiyan'.
