Superstar Rajinikanth's new multistarrer movie 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel went on floors recently in Thiruvananthapuram. Videos of the Kerala fans of Rajinikanth giving him a warm welcome have already gone viral on the internet. The team have now shifted to Tirunelveli and fans there have also gathered in large numbers when Rajini leaves his hotel and when he enters and exits the sets.

The 'Thalaivar 170' team is stationed in Panangudi, a village near Nellai, where it is planned to shoot for three days. Fans from villages around the area surrounded Rajini's car and clamored to catch a glimpse of the much loved thespian who tried his best to oblige them by waving to them. The police then took action and made way for Rajinikanth's car and sent him away safely.

'Thalaiavar 170' is produced by Lyca Productions with Anirudh scoring the music. The ensemble cast comprises Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier and Dushara Vijayan.
