Superstar Rajinikanth started the year with a bang powering his 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj to becoming one of the biggest blockbusters in South Indian cinema.  The legend has also completed the shooting of 'Darbar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and costarring Nayanthara which will be a grand Pongal 2020 treat for his fans.

Without wasting any time Rajini's next 'Thalaivar 168' has been announced with director Siruthai Siva at the helm and bankrolled by Sun Pictures.  The latest buzz is that the film will have two heroines Jyothika and Keerthy Suresh belonging to two different generations to add flavour to the rural subject.  Rajini and Jyothika have already given a monster hit 'Chandramukhi' together in the nineties and are reuniting after a long time.  The official announcement regarding everything to do with this mega project will be out once Thalaivar returns from the Himalayas where he is on a pilgrimage.
