Superstar Rajinikanth finished shooting his portions for his next biggie 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is on a short break now. In May he will move on to his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' in which he is playing a powerful supporting role.

Rajini's next movie 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel is expected to go on floors in the next few weeks. The intense cop drame is produced by Lyca Productions with Anirudh scoring the music.

The hot buzz now in Kollywood is that there is powerful character in 'Thalaivar 170' for which Gnanavel has Suriya in mind. He is reportedly planning to discuss with Rajini about bringing him on board. Sources say that the role will be brief but as impactful as the Rolex that Suriya played in Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram'. Since Gnanavel has already given the blockbuster hit with Suriya trade analysts believe that the busy actor will surely give his nod.

On the other hand it is said that Rajini is not keen to have other big heroes in his films. He allegedly did not agree with Nelson to cast Sivakarthikeyan in a key role in 'Jailer'. None of these reports have been authenticated yet and we have to wait for the official word.

Suriya is currently busy shooting for the fantasy adventure film 'Kanguva' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Studio Green with DSP scoring the music. He is romancing Bollywood beauty Disha Patani while Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley play other important characters. Hopefully by the end of the year his magnum opus 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran will finally commence filming.
