Superstar Rajinikanth is sporting the role of the village head in his upcoming film 'Annaatthe', directed by Siruthai Siva who gave back-to-back blockbusters with Thala Ajith in the past. This film is made under the banner of Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures.
Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Meena, Khushbu, Soori, and Sathish will be playing pivotal roles in the film. D Imman is scoring the music, and the composer had recorded the opening song with the late singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.
Earlier, the final schedules of filming resumed after the pandemic restrictions were relieved. Thalaivar Rajinikanth was spotted shooting at a famous shopping mall in Chennai, last week. Latest reports claim that the superstar has completed shooting for his portions and started dubbing for Annaatthe.
The director has finished more than 90 percent of the shooting and Annaatthe is heading steadily for the Diwali release as planned. Once Thalaivar completes his work, Siruthai Siva and the team will be heading to Kolkata soon to shoot the rest.
