Superstar Rajinikanth who flew back from Darjeeling a couple of days back from the shooting of his 165th film was one of the distinguished guests at educationalist A.C. Shanmugham's felicitation meet. Speaking at the occassion Rajini said that he politely refused attending the function as he did not want his speeches being misconstrued in the press.

However due to the insistence of his long time friend A.C. Shanmugham that he should attend for atleast five minutes Rajini said he made it. An interesting message that Rajini had for the younger generation is that hardwork alone will not bring success but one needs the grace of the almighty to earn big money and lead a successful life.

On the professional front Rajini will soon start shooting the second schedule of his untitled film directed by Karthik Subbaraj in and around Madurai. The film produced by Sun Pictures boasts of a huge starcast that includes Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram and others.
