Superstar Rajinikanth has slammed the central government for the manner in which the CAA protests in Delhi was handled and has called it an intelligence failure at a time when the American President Donald Trump was visiting the country. Close to 25 people were killed in the protests that have been taking place at the North East Delhi, mainly Maujpur.

Rajini speaking to newsmen stated that his would be the first voice if any Muslim in the country gets affected by CAA (Citizens Amendment Act). He also pointed out that since the act has been passed in both the houses of the parliament and the Supreme court also refused to consider its repeal. The Thalaivar as he is fondly called by his fans urged the government to handle the protests with an iron hand while also mentioning that he is against religion-based politics.
