Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman to commemorate his 25th year in the music world is conducting many live concerts accross India titled "Encore - The Concert' the final of which will be held at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.  Superstar Rajinikanth has given his nod to participate and this has caused speculations that he would sing live for ARR.

However it has been clarified by the Rahman camp that Rajini is indeed participating but is not expected to sing.  Only if the thalaivar he would be invited to croon a few lines from either "Adikuthu Kuluru" he sang for Ilayaraja in Mannan or "Karma Veeran" that he sang for Rahman himself  in 'Kochadaiyaan'.

The Delhi concert would also felicitate legendary theater personality and pioneer Y. G. Parthasarathy father of Y.Gee Mahendran who is a close relative of Rajinikanth.  The show is organized by Mahendran's daughter Madhuvanthi Arun.
