Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer' released yesterday and has received thunderous response from fans and the public. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures is said to have collected more than rupees 40 crores and Rs.80 crores respectively in India alone and worldwide.

A day before the release of 'Jailer' Rajinikanth took off to the Himalayas and is now at the Dayananda Saraswati Ashram in Rishikesh unmindful of the impact of the success of his film. Fans celebrating the simplicity and spirituality of their Thalaivar on social media.

Rajini, after spending quality time in the ashram will return to Chennai in a few weeks and to begin shooting of 'Thalaivaar 170' produced by Lyca, and directed by T.J. Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame.

It is worth noting that the shooting of 'Lal Salaam', another film starring Rajinikanth has already been completed and is getting ready for release. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film has music by A.R. Rahman with Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal playing the male leads with Jeevitha, Nirosha, Thangadurai and other in the supporting cast.
