Superstar Rajinikanth who was on his way to catch his flight to the USA, met the press and gave his candid answers for a wide ranging questions including the  Nirmala Devi incident, S.Ve.Shekar's indecent Facebook share about women journalists etc. Here is the gist of the Superstar's answers.

Recently you condemned someone attacking policemen, but you have never condemned policemen who have targeted innocent people many times in the past?

It is wrong to attack the uniformed policemen. At the same time policemen also should not misbehave with common people just because the law is in their hands. 

What transpired in your meeting with Thuglaq Editor Gurumurthy today?

Gurumurthy has been a friend of mine for over 25 years. We meet often. Just because you all are keenly watching me now. it looks like something important. Actually there is nothing special in our meeting today. 

After your decision to enter politics, many people, even your friends within the film industry have started criticizing you. What do you think about that?

I have told in the beginning itself. If you come to politics, public life criticism will always be there. We can't avoid that. 

In what stage is your party building activities? When your party will be launched?

I cannot discuss the Mandram activities in open. I will definitely launch my party soon. That date is yet to be finalized.I will launch the party at the most appropriate time. 

You have never talked anything about Madurai Kamaraj University Assistant Professor Nirmala Devi incident?

It is a shameful incident. If she (Nirmala Devi) is found to be guilty, she should be severely punished.

It is said that even the Governor is involved in that?

I don't want to talk about that

The Facebook post shared by S.Ve.Shekhar recently created a huge controversy. he has said he shared it without reading the post and removed it later.What is your comment about that? 

What S.Ve.Shekhar has done is an unpardonable crime even if it was not a deliberate act. 

BJP leader H.Raja has been often writing controversial posts in social media. Recently he badmouthed DMK leader Kanimozhi in Twitter...
