Dhanush is one of the most respected film stars in India and its common knowledge that he is a multitalented personality who has come up in his life through sheer talent and hard work. Dhanush married Aishwarya Rajinikanth the eldest daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth in 2004 and has two sons Yatra and Linga.
Dhanush has shared many times that it is his dream to work with his father in Rajinikanth and it was fulfilled to a certain extent when he got the chance to produce his 'Kaala' directed by Pa Ranjith. Reports say that he approached Rajini to act in the lead role of his second directorial venture tentatively titled 'Naan Rudran' which is resuming shooting once the lockdown ends.
Rajini was floored by the script and the character but since 'Naan Rudran' is a historical fantasy and involved a lot of action sequences he felt that a younger star would be more apt. Though Dhanush reportedly was disappointed he took the advice and signed Telugu superstar Nagarjuna in place of Rajini.
'Naan Rudran' has the ensemble cast of Nagarjuna, Aditi Rao Hydari, Srikanth, Anu Emmanuel, S.J. Suryah and Sarathkumar.
