K.S. Narayanaswamy, popularly known as Gopali (92), who served as an acting instructor at the Film Training Institute run by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, passed away today. In the late 1960s, Superstar Rajinikanth was one of the students who trained at this institute. Gopali was one of the key teachers who taught him the fundamentals of acting and on-screen presence techniques.
Today, Superstar Rajinikanth personally visited Chennai to pay his last respects to his teacher Gopali, with tears in his eyes. Deeply saddened by the loss of his early guru, Rajini consoled the bereaved family members.
Gopali, who trained many leading actors of Tamil cinema and shaped multiple generations of performers, leaves behind an irreplaceable void in the film industry with his passing.
