Superstar Rajinikanth may have acted most of his 170 odd films in Tamil but he remains the most celebrated actor in Indian cinema. On Friday he was one of the chief guests of the grand inauguration of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. He was seated right next to the hosts Ambani's the richest business magnates in the country.
Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone and others attended the event with their family members. Rajini who was accompanied by his younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth Vishagan looked elegnt in a simple black dress and wowed the celebrity guests in Mumbai.
The Thalaivar was apparently so taken in by the state of the art architecture and aesthetic ambience of the centre that he shot a letter to the Ambanis after the show. Rajini praised the Ambani's for coming up with a broadway style cultural center in Mumbai with the mission to to preserve and promote Indian arts and to nurture and inspire talent, bringing together communities from across India and the globe.
Rajini added that seeing such a wonderful facility he now has one longing dream to enact a play at the NMACC theater and hoped that it will become a reality soon. The thespian is currently on the verge of completing 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures and 'Lal Salaam' directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Lyca Producions. Later this year he will begin shooting for 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame.
