Superstar Rajinkanth is back in Chennai after completing the first schedule of his ongoing project 'Darbar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions.  He will resume shooting from May 29th and the film is expected to release by the year-end or early 2020.

Meanwhile there are quite a few buzzes regarding Rajini's next movie after 'Darbar' with names like K.S. Ravikumar, Karthik Subbaraj and H. Vinod as the likely directors.  A new report suggests that Rajini is keen on making a sequel to 'Baba' released in 2002.

The sources add that though 'Baba' did not do as well as expected at the box office the film's spiritual theme is very close to Rajini's heart and he feels that a sequel could convey his spiritual politics to the people.

In all probability, Rajini will enter active politics by the end of 2020 and start a new party and 'Baba 2' releasing at that time could work as a great mileage for him in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.  We will have to wait for the official confirmation or denial for this news.
