After the success of his Pongal release Petta directed by Karthik subbaraj, superstar Rajinikanth has been working on his 167th movie Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss, who had last directed the political entertainer Sarkar with Thalapathy Vijay.

Team Darbar began shooting in Mumbai last week, and several sequences featuring Rajnikanth, Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu and lady superstar Nayanthara are being filmed in the city. Darbar also stars Prateek Babbar and John Mahendran, and is aiming Pongal 2020 release. While the shooting is progressing briskly, the makers aren't happy for other reasons.

Reportedly, production house Lyca Productions is extremely upset and angry over the leakage of photos and videos from the shooting location, as two days back video of Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu sequence with Rajnikanth was leaked online and yesterday, Rajnikanth's cricket playing photos also featuring Nayanthara were leaked all over internet. Following this unexpected leaks, the team has decided to be strict and not allow press/ outsiders inside sets and avoid shooting spot image leaks.
