Kollywood is in a sensational mode after the news emerged that 'Kaithi' director Lokesh Kanagaraj met Superstar Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence on Monday evening. It is said that the meeting went on for a couple of hours triggering speculations that the duo could have discussed a possible film together. When the young director's debut movie 'Maanagaram' released in 2017 Rajini was one of the first to call and wish him after watching the film.

The Thalaivar's 'Darbar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss is in postproduction and is slated for Pongal 2020 release and he will start shooting for his next directed by Siruthai Siva in the second week of this month. Lokesh Kanagaraj is busy with 'Thalapathy 64' starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi which is planned as a grand summer treat for the fans and has also committed for projects with Suriya, Karthi and Kamal Haasan in the future. We have to wait and watch whether the Rajini-Lokesh meeting was just a casual one or if it will develop into another different film for the Tamil movie buff.

According to our sources, Rajini celebrated his birthday in advance with close friends and family members and Lokesh Kangaraj was also a special invitee.
