The shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures is nearing completion. After this Rajini will join the sets of daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's new film 'Lal Salaam' in which he plays a powerful guest role.

'Lal Salaam' has music by A.R. Rahman and is produced by Lyca Production on a grand scale. The film has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles with veterans Jeevitha and Senthil in supporting characters. The big news is that top comedy and character actor Thambi Ramaiah is on board the film and this will be the first time that the National Award Winner is sharing the screen space with Rajini.

The shooting of 'Lal Salaam' is currently underway in Tiruvannamalai, Gingee and the surrounding areas. it is said that the portions involving Rajini will be shot in Mumbai and the team will be heading there soon.

After 'Lal Salaam', Rajini will be starring in 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel and is said to be already in talks for 'Thalaivar 171' to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kamal Haasan.
