Superstar Rajnikanth is currently acting in 'Jailer' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar for which Anirudh is scoring the music. The film is a pan Indian multistarrer that has Mohan Lal, Shivarajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi.

Rajini will soon begin shooting for 'Laal Salaam' in which he is playing a powerful character while Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal play the main leads. The film is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Lyca Productions with A.R. Rahman scoring the music.

Meanwhile Poornima Ramaswamy who signed on for costume design in 'Laal Salaam' has announced on Twitter that she is quitting the project. She wrote "Due to irrevocable differences in preproduction stage I will not be part of the project Lal Salaam….@ash_rajinikanth @LycaProductions. Just making a clear statement to remove my name from all posters in the future."

It is said that Aishwarya and Poornima have been friends since childhood but it is not known what went wrong that the latter has quit such an ambitious project that features Superstar Rajinikanth. Poornima won a National Award for Bala's 'Paradesi' and she has worked in several super hit movies including 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru', 'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam', 'Naachiyaar', 'Kaatrin Mozhi', 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and
'Soorarai Pottru'.
