Back in 2016, Superstar Rajinikanth teamed up with the new-age hitmaker Pa Ranjith for the first time and delivered 'Kabali'. The film became a huge success at the box office and it was critically acclaimed for reinventing Thalaivar as an impeccable performer.
Kabali was produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner V Creations and it had a fabulous musical score by Santhosh Narayanan. Kalaippuli S Thanu recently confirmed that he has plans to re-release Kabali on big screens. It is worth mentioning that V Creations is already working on remastering and re-releasing Kamal Haasan's cult classic, 'Aalavandhan'.
Producer Thanu recently said, "I wasn't pleased by the climax scene of Kabali but Rajinikanth said that the film should be completely in Ranjith's vision. Then, I didn't want to interfere in the director's vision. Now, we are planning to edit and trim the climax sequence of Kabali and re-release it on the big screens." This news has gone viral among fans.
On the work front, Rajinikanth recently wrapped up Nelson's 'Jailer'. He will next move tohis daughter Aishwarya's directorial 'Lal Salaam' and then 'Thalaivar 170' with director TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame. He is expected to be playing Muslim roles in Lal Salaam and Thalaivar 170.
