Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' has turned out to be the biggest ever blockbuster in Tamil cinema and the film directed by Pa.Ranjith, despite getting mixed reviews on its opening day is still running strong in many theaters across Tamil Nadu.
Especially in Chennai the film has become the highest ever grosser. Even in its fourth weekend the film has achieved close to 80% occupancy despite three new Tamil film releases for the Independence day weekend.,
In the weekend between August 12 to 14 the film has collected Rs.27,01,440 from 110 shows in 15 screens across the metropolitan city. This has lifted the overall collections made by 'Kabali' in Chennai to Rs.11,80,04,610 which is a phenomenal tally.
Apart from this yesterday (Monday) being the Independence Day holiday, the film would have generated greater revenue as the film is reported to have achieved full occupancy in all the screens across the city.
This yet again proves that Rajinikanth is the box office Samrat.
