Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' is right at the top of the most expected upcoming movies. The dark comedy thriller directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures has music by Anirudh. The filmmaker recently revealed officially that Rajini's portions in the film has been wrapped up last week. The film is expected to release on a festive date later this year or early next year.

Meanwhile young actor Vasanth Ravi of 'Rocky' fame who is playing one of the main characters in 'Jailer' has given a awesome update about the film in a recent interview. He openly stated that Nelson has designed a unique character for Rajinikanth which will be totally different from all the roles he has played in the 168 films so far. The thespian will appear as Muthuvel Pandian a strict Jailer who also shows compassion to the convicts.

'Jailer' has the ensemble cast of Rajinikanth, Shivrajkumar, Mohan Lal, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Robo Shankar among others. Vijay Karthik Kannan is handling the cinematography while the editing is taken care of by Nirmal.
