Director Nelson made a promising debut in Kollywood with Nayanthara's 'Kolamavu Kokila' and went on to surprise everyone by bringing out a different shade of Sivakarthikeyan in his second outing 'Doctor,' which earned more than Rs 100 crore. His third and ambitious film, 'Beast,' starring Thalapathy Vijay got a mixed response but however became a commercial hit.

Now, Nelson is eyeing to make a strong comeback with the Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer'. While the movie is slated to hit the screens on August 10, we hear that it has passed the censor process with a 'U/A' certificate from the CBFC cabinet. The runtime is revealed to be 2 hours 48 minutes and 47 seconds (168.47 mins). Thalaivar will be seen as Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer, going on a mission over a family emergency.

With music by Anirudh, Jailer has Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah, Vasanth Ravi, Ramya Krishnan, Mirna, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Saravanan and many others. Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie has visuals by Vijay Karthik Kannan, editing by Nirmal and stunts by Stun Shiva with art direction by DRK Kiran. The film's audio and trailer launch will happen in Chennai this Friday.
