Dhanush starrer 'Naane Varuvean' directed by Selvaraghavan hit the big screens on September 29 and gained a good response from the audience amid the 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' box office rampage. Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu declared the film a profitable venture in pre-business itself.

Meanwhile, we reported to you that Dhanush started shooting for his upcoming movie 'Captain Miller' directed by Arun Matheshwaran last month. Now, the latest update is that the Captain Miller first schedule filming, which took place in Tenkasi and Tirunelveli, was wrapped up recently. The next schedule will commence very soon after a small gap.

Sources also say that the Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar is most likely to play a pivotal role in Captain Miller. It is worth mentioning that he is part of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer' as well. Priyanka Mohan is paired opposite Dhanush in Captain Miller while Sundeep, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken and Moor play prominent roles.

The movie has been set against the backdrops of the 1930s-40s and Dhanush is expected to play a gangster. He will sport two different looks. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, this project will be made on a lavish scale and will have a Pan-Indian release in the Summer of 2023. GV Prakash Kumar will be scoring the music.
