Superstar Rajinikanth has completed his portions in 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh scoring the music. He is now reportedly taking rest at an ashram in Bengaluru and will be back soon to shoot for 'Lal Salaam' directed by daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
Reports say that the owners of Hombale Films which bankrolled the monster global hits 'KGF 1', 'KGF 2' and 'Kantara' met Rajini at the ashram and had discussions for an hour or so. The same sources say that top female director of Tamil cinema, Sudha Kongara also was involved in the meeting raising speculations if this could have been in connection with a new project.
Already it was reported that Hombale Films were interested in producing a movie with Rajinikanth and they already have given an advance to Sudha Kongara and officially announced it would be a never before seen film in Indian cinema. We will have to wait and how this exciting prospect pans out in the future.
Rajinikanth's next movie after his supporting role in 'Lal Salaam' is 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J. Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame which is produced by Lyca Productions. It is reported that Rajini's 'Thalaivar 171' is most likely to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kamal Haaasan.
