Superstar Rajinikanth heaps praise on Mari Selvaraj & Udhayanidhi’s ‘Maamannan’!

Acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj’s new film ‘Maamannan’ was released in theatres last Thursday. The socio-political drama is the maker’s third film and it clinched critical success and a massive run at the box office. The movie team celebrated the success with a small cake-cutting party recently.

While Vadivelu played the titular role, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh took up the lead roles alongside him. Celebrities including CM Stalin, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Pa Ranjith, Raju Murugan and others showered praises on Maamannan. Now, Superstar Rajinikanth appreciated the ideology and craft behind the film via a social media post.

Superstar Rajinikanth posted on Twitter, “#MAAMANNAN A wonderful work by Mari Selvaraj emphasizing equality. My sincere appreciation to him. My best wishes to Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi and Fahadh Faasil for their excellent performances.” In response, Mari Selvaraj revealed that Rajini invited him in person and appreciated his work.

Sharing a few pictures from his meeting with the Superstar, Mari Selvaraj captioned, “Our superstar @rajinikanth saw my third film Mamannan and appreciated it with love just like he watched and praised my first two films Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan. Sir I express my gratitude and happiness from my heart to him.????????” (sic).

In response to Rajinikanth’s tweet, Udhayanidhi Stalin replied, “Love and thanks on behalf of #Mamannan Film Team to Superstar @rajinikanth sir who watched and appreciated Maamannan, which emphasizes equality, with love” (sic). The film has music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman, DOP by Theni Eswar and editing by Selva RK with stunts by Dhilip Subbarayan.
