It is well-known fact that Superstar Rajinikanth is in the USA and has undergone various health tests.  A photo of him with daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush from the world-famous Mayo Clinic went viral a couple of days back..

On the 27th of June, actress Kasthuri through a series of tweets raised controversy regarding Rajini's US visit calling attention to both his health conditions and suggesting that his travel was illegal.  

Kasthuri wrote "And fans, please don't  say things like  'Rules don't apply for Rajinikanth'.  That is a terrible thing to say.  If anything, Such massive icons should very careful to come across as a law-abiding citizen.  Many saying Rajini may have gotten medical exemption from GOI- that is even more worrisome. What is his health condition that the best hospitals in India cannot treat? They said routine check? Mayo clinic is known for cardiac care. The more I think about it, the worse it sounds.".

The 'Thamizh Padam' actress added 'US has banned direct travel from India for all Indian citizens from May onwards . No medical exceptions have been granted. How and why did @rajinikanth travel during this time? His sudden backing out of politics, now this... things are not adding up. Rajini Sir pl clarify.  It is  perfectly valid and pertinent to question how a VIP and his entire family was able to circumvent a travel ban that affects everyone else. If there is a logical explanation, We will all get to know. No one, not Rajinikanth or anyone is above rules or above questioning."

There was a huge backlash from Rajini fans on social media who slammed the actress calling her tweets irresponsible.  However, Kasthuri has apparently had the last laugh in the issue as according to her someone has reached out to her and updated her in this regard. 

Kasthuri has shared that through a phone call all her doubts have been cleared and that she can safely conclude that the Thalaivar will return home safe and sound.
