Superstar Rajinikanth has finished shooting more than sixty percent of his new movie 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures that has music by Anirudh. After a short break for Diwali the team will resume work and it will be wrapped up by the end of November.

It is reported that Rajini's 170th film will be directed by Cibi Chakravarthy of 'Don' fame and there is also talk of Desingh Periyasamy helming 'Thalaivar 171'. Meanwhile it is official that the thespian's eldest daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth will begin her third film as director for Lyca Productions soon.

A buzz in Kollywood suggests that talks are on with several young heroes including Atharvaa Murali to play the lead role in the as yet untitled movie. Sources say Aishwarya has narrated the script and requested her dad to play a powerful guest role in the film. Impressed by the storyline and his character the Thalaivar apparently has given his nod.
