For almost a couple of decades Superstar Rajinikanth has restricted himself to doing one film in three years. In the late seventies and eighties the legend used to do eight or nine films a year and an amazing fact is he completed his portions for the 1978 movie Maangudi Minor' in just 9 days working 18 hours a day.

The most number of dates that Thalaivar allotted in his career is for Shankar's Enthiran' which was shot over a period of one and a half years. Similarly he is said to have allotted bulk dates for 2.0' too but we will know if it surpasses Enthiran' only after the project is completed.
