Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' has been rocking the Chennai city since its day of release that is June 7, 2018. This despite the unusually underwhelming response to the advance bookings. The film had collected Rs.1.76 crores on its opening day and that is the all time highest first day collection made by any film in Chennai.
Now the film that released on Thursday has completed three days and the total collections have come close to Rs.5 crores. As on first day, the film has collected Rs.1.7 crores on its third day that is on Saturday. With this, the total collection made by the Pa.Ranjith directed film has gone around Rs.4 crores and 90 lakhs from theaters across Chennai in just three days. We have to remember that the film has collected this much despite not getting released in main theatres like Kamala and Udhayam. If the film had released in these two complexes, the film would have had at least 15-20 more shows per day and this would have added a significant increase in the total collections.
Today being Sunday holiday, all shows across the city are already houseful. With this we can expect 'Kaala' will create an all time best first weekend collections in Chennai box office.
