It was earlier reported that the formal pooja for the mega budget flick 'Enthiran 2' with Superstar Rajinikanth in lead role will be held on the star's birthday falling on December 12.

But now in the wake of severe rains and floods that has affected Chennai. the makers seems to have opted for a low-key Pooja event.

Sources reveal that the inaugural pooja for 'Enthiran 2' was conducted yesterday at the prestigious AVM Studio campus in Chennai. The film's director Shankar and representatives of Lyca Productions, the company which will be producing this gargantuan project took part in the Pooja while Rajinikanth could not attend it as he is reportedly out of the city.

Shooting of this film is expected to commence on December 14 while Rajinikanth will join the shoot of 'Enthiran 2' in January 2016, after completing his part for 'Kabali' the film he is currently working on.
