Superstar Rajinikanth never responds to criticisms in words. He has ignored, even the harshest of verbal slurs made on him over the years. But he has is own style of silencing the critics and rumor mongers and the indomitable star has done the same in the case of helping victims of heavy rains and flash floods in Chennai.

While social media users are seeing a flurry of messages accusing the senior actor of not helping the people in the wake of incessant rains in the past few weeks, the benevolent Superstar has now donated a sum of Rs.10 Lakhs to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to support the people of Tamil Nadu affected by severe rains, and has proved yet again that action is louder than words. .

A letter from Sri Raghavendra Charitable Trust addressed to the Nadigar Sangam President Nasser (which has been released to the Press) states, "As instructed by our Managing Trustee Sri Rajinikanth, we are enclosing herewith a pay order of date, bearing No.056325, Drawn on Karnataka Bank, Chennai for Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only) favouring CHIEF MINISTER'S PUBLIC RELIEF FUND' towards donation for rain affected victims of Tamil Nadu."

The letter requests Nasser to forward the receipt for the donation which means the donation will be handed over to the government authorities through the Nadigar Sangam.

Already actors Dhanush, Suriya, Sivakumar, Karthi, Sivakarhtikeyan, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Vishal and other actors have donated to the Chief Minister's Fund for relief and rehabilitation of rain affected people of the state.

A sincere and profound thanks for the actors for their timely generous gesture.
