Superstar Rajinikanth and ace director Shankar are two stalwarts in the film industry. While the former is a pioneer in Indian cinema, the latter is a renowned Pan-Indian director. They form one of the most celebrated combos in the country and their films are among the highest-grossers till today.

Rajini and Shankar worked together in the films - 'Sivaji', 'Endhiran' and '2 Point 0' and these movies emerged as industry hits. Currently, they are working on two different films. Superstar Rajinikanth is shooting for 'Jailer' directed by Nelson. Shankar is directing two movies - Kamal Haasan in 'Indian 2' and Ram Charan in 'RC15'.

The hot buzz is that Jailer and RC15 are likely to clash at the box office. The latest reports suggest that the makers of Shankar's 'RC15' are planning to release the film on April 13, 2023, while Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' is slated to hit the screens on April 14, 2023. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard. Jailer is produced by Sun Pictures and RC15 is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations.
