Superstar Rajinikanth has said that the Karnataka Governor's call to BJP's Yeddyurappa to take oath as Chief Minister and form the Government and giving him time of 15 days to prove majority is a erroneous as the latter did not have the majority of MLAs to form government. Yedduyurappa has since resigned his CM post within a day after taking charge, since it had become clear that he could not prove majority support for his Government in the Karnataka Assembly. Rajinikanth also thanked the Supreme Court for intervening in this matter and ordering Yeddyurappa to prove his majority within a day, He has called it 'the success of Democracy'. .
Rajinikanth was addressing the press persons in Chennai, after a meeting with the woman functionaries of Rajini Makkal Mandram which is entrusted with the job of building the political party right from grass root level.
Answering why he did not attend the all-party meet organised by his long time friend Kamal Haasan, Rajini said he did not take part in the meet, since it is a meeting a political parties and he is yet to launch his party. The Superstar however wished good luck for the success of Kamal Haasan 's efforts to secure the rights of Tamil Nadu farmers.
