Superstar Rajinikanth on Saturday posted a video welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Janata Curfew and had stated that if the people stay indoors for fourteen hours the spread of the coronavirus could be curbed. He had also pointed out the mistakes of socializing during the outbreak that has caused heavy death tolls in Italy. Twitter had taken down Rajini's video citing that it was making fake claims and that fourteen hours curfews don't kill the COVID 19 virus.
Rajini this evening had posted a tweet in which he has explained that when he mentioned that fourteen hours curfew would halt the spread of the coronavirus it was mistaken as he meant only one day whereas he really meant that it should be done till the government further advises. The Superstar also thanked those who understood him in the right sense and supported his video.
