Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the final leg of shooting in 'Vettaiyan', directed by TJ Gnanavel. He is all set to commence director Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Coolie' after wrapping up this film. Produced by Sun Pictures, the pre-production work for 'Coolie' is going on in full swing.

Today, the co-writer of Coolie shared a hot update on the progress of the script. We already informed you that Chandhru Ramanathan is working along with Lokesh Kanagaraj in this film. Earlier, he worked as a co-writer in 'Maanagaram' and 'Maaveeran'. Chandhru posted on X (Twitter) that the first half of 'Coolie' is locked and loaded.

Santhosh Krishnan and Immanuel Prakash will serve as the associate directors of 'Coolie'. Lokesh and his team will pen the second half before the shoot kickstarts in June. Thalaivar is expected to play a negative role in this upcoming movie with music by Anirudh, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj and stunts by the Anbariv duo.
