Superstar Rajinikanth’s confirmation about Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’

As soon as Mani Ratnam gave the blockbuster hit ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ starring Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Arun Vijay, Arvind Swamy and others there has been talk about him kickstarting his dream project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’  While many stars are being attached to the project by the media Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are the two stars who have confirmed their participation.  Meanwhile, rumours surfaced that Lyca Productions backed out of the project and that the ace director was trying to rope in another corporate player.

Superstar Rajinikanth on Sunday during his speech at the ‘Kaappaan’ audio launch confirmed that Lyca Productions are bankrolling Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ when he praised the production house for their involvement in ambitious projects including his own ‘Darbar’.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ reportedly has the stellar starcast of Amitabh Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Mohan Babu, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others.
