The 'Thalaivar 171' fever has started to take over Kollywood after director Lokesh Kanagaraj announced that the movie's title reveal teaser will be out on April 22nd. The team presented a special poster with Superstar Rajinikanth's stylish avatar, which has led to many fan theories already.

As the poster shows Thalaivar is handcuffed with multiple gold watches, theories broke out that 'Thalaivar 171' is going to be a time-travel movie. Now, the latest buzz is that Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen as a gold smuggler in this biggie. We have to take it with a pinch of salt. Loki has already said that this project will be an experimental stand alone film without a drug mafia.

As far as the story of this film is concerned, it is reported that it will be a gangster story centered on the gold mafia.
