Superstar Rajinikanth is currently working on his upcoming projects – ‘Jailer’ and ‘Lal Salaam’ (Cameo). Meanwhile, he will be moving to his next film with director TJ Gnanavel, tentatively called ‘Thalaivar 170’ after the ongoing movies. According to sources, Big B is likely to play an important role alongside Thalaivar in the upcoming venture.

Now, the duo is associating again for a massive big-screen combination after 32 years. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
Rajini is likely to play a retired cop fighting against encounter punishment in Thalaivar 170, produced by Lyca Productions. This movie is touted to be an intense drama and the shooting is expected to commence by the end of this year.
