It was recently reported that Superstar Rajinikanth refused to help his long time assistant who is cancer stricken. The news was triggered after the concerned patient's son's friends tried to raise money from public for the medical expenses. Sudhakar the person himself has clarified on his social media the exact truth,

Sudhakar, who was an assistant to Superstar Rajinikanth for many years, was also an important frontline executive of the Rajini Makkal Mandram. He was afflicted by kidney cancer for the past few months and is undergoing expensive treatment.

Sudhakar wrote in Tamil "A false campaign is doing the rounds on the internet to tarnish the immense goodwill of Thalaivar Rajinikanth. The news that he did not help me in these difficult times is completely false."

Sudhakar continued "In fact, it was Rajinikanth who took care of my entire medical expenses for the past one year for my kidney cancer treatment without a second thought. Till now he is the only one providing financial and moral support. For that our entire family will be forever grateful."

"Without my knowledge, my son's friends started a fundraising campaign for my treatment to contribute whatever financial support they could. The news that it was launched because Rajinikanth did not help us is totally baseless. I am very sorry that this has affected the goodwill and character of my leader', concluded Sudhakar in the post.

Superstar Rajinikanth is currently acting in 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures which is more than sixty percent complete. He is set to star soon in a powerful guest role in daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' produced by Lyca Productions. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play the lead roles while veteran actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar is returning to Tamil cinema after more than two decades.
