Superstar's 'Annaatthe' first single with late singer SPB's voice! - Rajinikanth pens an emotional note

The first single from Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' album has just landed. What makes it bittersweet is that this is the last song that legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam recorded before his demise. D Imman has composed the soundtrack and the background score of the film.

Last month, the entire country paid tribute to legendary musician SP Balasubrahmanyam on his first memorial day. Now, the music fans have got yet another opportunity to celebrate him again. 'Annaatthe Annaatthe' song has just seen the light of the day. As we reported earlier, the song is a perfect celebratory track. The foot-tapping number is the opening song and will be a perfect Diwali treat to the fans.

The lyric video of the song opens with a tribute card to the late singer SPB. SP Balasubrahmanyam has sung many super hit introduction songs for Thalaivar in the past. This last song will be another pearl in their crown. Rajinikanth has penned an emotional note for SPB in his Twitter handle.

Following the release of SPB's last song for him, Rajini wrote, SPB has been my voice for nearly 45 years. When I was shooting for it, I never thought that this would be the last song he sang for me. My dear SPB will live forever through his voice. Lyricist Viveka has crafted the lines of the track. This will be the singer's last ever song.

The stellar cast of Annaatthe comprises Rajinikanth, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Khusbhu, Meena, Soori, Prakash Raj and Jagapathy Babu. Rajinikanth is playing the role of a big brother as the title suggests. The wholesome family entertainer is releasing as a grand Diwali treat this year on November 4th.
