As reported earlier the shooting of what would be the biggest ever film in all terms as far as Tamil Cinema is concerned, 'Enthiran 2' with the evergreen Superstar Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, will begin today.

The film's director Shankar has confirmed the news in his micro-blogging page.

'Enthiran 2' will be the grand sequel to the 2010 blockbuster sci-fi entertainer 'Enthiran' directed by Shankar with Superstar and Aishwarya Rai. This will be the first sequel in which Rajinikanth is acting in his 40 year long career.

'The sequel is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions on a humungous scale and the budget is expected to cross Rs.300 crores. Hollywood Superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered for the lead villain role in this flick, but he could not be taken on board as a few conditions stipulated by the American actor could not be accommodated. Bollywood actor and 'Kaththi' villain Neil Nithin Mukhesh is already on board.

Like Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson will also be playing a robot in this film while search is on for another leading actress with pan-Indian appeal to play Rajini's pair in the film.

Osacar winner A.R.Rahman will be scoring music for the project while Nirav Shah teams up with Shankar for the first time for handling the camera work. Jeyamohan and Madhan Karky have penned the dialogues.

Rajinikanth is expected to join the shoot of ;Enthiran 2' in the month of January after he completes shooting for 'Kabali' directed by Pa.Ranjith.

We wish the best for the team 'Enthiran 2' and the countdown for the garndest film in the histroy starts from today...!!!
