Official announcement on first look release of '2.0'

Here comes the first official announcement about the first release of the most expected Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' on its director Shankar's birthday.

Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca Productions which has been bankrolling this ambitious the mega-budget sci-fi flick, has announced that the First look of the film will release in November 2016. He has also revealed an amazing fact that the team will be taking a total of one year between the initial announcement of the project and the release of First look. This speaks volumes about the hard work the care for perfection.

Reading between the lines of Raju Mahalingam in his announcement, we could guess that the first look poster will feature both Rajinikanth the protagonist and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, the antagonist of this mega-budget project.

The announcement comes as a surprise announcement for Rajini and Shankar fans as well as the general film buffs as they have been waiting for long to have a glimpse of Thalaivar's makeover and Shankar's grandeur in the film. The wait is finally going to end within a few months from now.

'2.0' is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster 'Enthiran' and it stars Amy Jackson as the female lead. A.R.Rahman is rendering the musical score. Nirav Shah takes care of cinematography while Antony is in charge of Editing. The film is being made on an estimated budget of Rs.350 crores.
