Shankar's magnum opus '2.0' starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is touted as the costliest Indian production ever budgeted at 400 crore rupees. The film was slated for release last year Diwali and then postponed to May 2018 which deadline also could not be met due to the extensive computer graphics work involved.

Now the buzz in Kollywood is that it would take a few more months for the post-production work of '2.0' to be completed raising the budget by another 100 Crores and the release will only be in 2019. However there is no official confirmation on this and we will have to wait for it.

'2.0' an A.R. Rahman musical is produced by Lyca Productions with top notch technicians such as Nirav Shah and Antony taking care of the cinematography and editing respectively. Needless to add that this is the most awaited film across India.
